fay and jacob | chicago engagement session
Fay and Jacob.png

Oh man! All I can say to start is that Fay and Jacob are absolute rock stars. They braved the INSANELY cold weather for their engagement session. By the end of the session, it was sleeting, and the wind was blowing so hard I thought we were all going to get frost bite. But we didn’t! We made it through - and it was all worth it because the photos in Chicago are always some of my favorites.

I met Fay in August, when she won my raffle prize at Bride Vs. Bride. And I am so glad that we were available to photograph their wedding day! I absolutely LOVED taking their engagement photos, they are so much fun and should probably give up their day jobs to become models, I mean seriously!

September is going to be here before we know it and I cannot wait to capture their day!!

I am beyond excited to share this newborn session with sweet baby Monroe and her lovely parents. I met Becca and Matt way back in 2013 when I photographed their wedding. Since then, I’ve photographed a lot of family weddings and have stayed in contact with them. And when she found out she was pregnant I was beyond thrilled for them! And when she asked me to take photos in their home with their newest addition, I couldn’t wait!

It is so great getting to capture forever moments for clients that have become friends and share in their joys. And their labor and delivery story is one that definitely humbles you and reminds you of just how precious each day we have on this Earth is. And also how scary childbirth can be. They spent 15 days in the hospital and long story short, they were SO SO happy to be home and settled in with their girl. I am so happy for them and Roe is so loved by so many! And that nursery, GOALS. Straight out of a West Elm catalog.

Welcome home, sweet Monroe!
