Aly and Tommy | Saint Mary's College Engagement Session Notre Dame, Indiana

When the groom is just as excited about the engagement session as the bride, you know it’s going to be a good day! And it was! Their engagement was a long time coming, and when Tommy proposed earlier this summer, everyone was beyond happy for them! I had so much fun walking around Saint Mary’s with Aly and Tommy last Sunday. Tommy was in town from Colorado just for Labor Day Weekend and we were able to fit in their engagement session. We talked about their wedding day, they both beamed with excitement as they chatted about their plans and talked about how they can’t wait for their friends and family to all be together in the same place.

Next June is going to be a busy one, but we cannot wait for their wedding at Swan Lake. It is going to be a blast celebrating with these two!

I am beyond excited to share this newborn session with sweet baby Monroe and her lovely parents. I met Becca and Matt way back in 2013 when I photographed their wedding. Since then, I’ve photographed a lot of family weddings and have stayed in contact with them. And when she found out she was pregnant I was beyond thrilled for them! And when she asked me to take photos in their home with their newest addition, I couldn’t wait!

It is so great getting to capture forever moments for clients that have become friends and share in their joys. And their labor and delivery story is one that definitely humbles you and reminds you of just how precious each day we have on this Earth is. And also how scary childbirth can be. They spent 15 days in the hospital and long story short, they were SO SO happy to be home and settled in with their girl. I am so happy for them and Roe is so loved by so many! And that nursery, GOALS. Straight out of a West Elm catalog.
